[ Back to ] Bastille Day in Siem Reap

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia organised the Bastille Day celebrations in Siem Reap on Saturday 15 July.

To create a moment of conviviality and sharing, the CCIFC had planned a series of activities for Saturday 15 July.

The morning began with a golf tournament in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. In the afternoon, the French tradition took centre stage with a pétanque tournament, which was a big hit with the participants. Teams competed against each other in a friendly contest. In the evening, the CCIFC invited the participants to a popular ball, which was held in a festive and convivial atmosphere. The cocktail reception, prepared by talented chefs from the Paul Dubrule School of Hospitality and Tourism with the support of the sponsors, delighted the palates with refined dishes. The evening continued with an artistic performance by Thierry Le Mesle, who captivated the audience with his barrel organ. Finally, DJ Cécile Hinas took control of the music, keeping the guests dancing.

The CCIFC's 14 July event was a resounding success, allowing participants to celebrate France's bank holidays. The presence of His Excellency the French Ambassador to Cambodia, Jacques Pellet, added a special touch to this memorable day.

The CCIFC would like to express its deep gratitude to all the participants, as well as its warm thanks to the following partners and sponsors: Paul Dubrule Hotel and Tourism School, Phokeethra Country Club, Wat Chocolate, Somaha Meat N'Chill, Misota Food, Satcha, Amici Restaurant, PestLab and Daerlen. Their invaluable support played a key role in the success of this event and made this annual celebration possible.

The CCIFC is committed to continuing to promote the links between France and Cambodia and to offering its community unforgettable and enriching events throughout the year. We are already looking forward to future festivities and meetings.
